Sami's First Time at Angel Fire, NM

The following story is a race weekend account from 13 year old Sami Kingshill, the youngest member of the Shine Gravity Race Team.  Known as the "Chile Challenge", the 6th stop of the Pro GRT series takes place in Angel Fire, NM in early June on what is considered to be an awesomely terrifying course.  Read on for Sami's first time account racing at Angel Fire and hanging out with other young lady racers. Cover image is of Sami with fellow gravity racerette McKenna.  Big thanks to her dad David for helping Sami out at the race!  All photos provided by mom, Angela Kingshill.

Sea Otter 2013: Dual Slalom Photos by Brad Davies

There are lots of photos, videos and results popping up from the Sea Otter Classic which took place a few weeks ago.  The following photos were provided by Brad Davies, of Hourglass Photography, who has been generously offering his time to work with us.

Sea Otter 2013: Shine's Camp of Champion Air Bag Ladies Jam Courtesy of GoPro

We were super lucky to have the C.O.C. air bag all to ourselves for an hour Thursday night at the 2013 Sea Otter Classic. Jeremey Hottinger, affectionately known as "Kickstand" volunteered to coach the ladies on tricks, if they wished. California local and Shine teammate Samantha Kingshill was first on the bag for the ladies jam, working on her 360s. Another cali girl, Lauren Gregg, an air-bag repeat from last year and employee at Specialized kept the bag warm until Canadian freerider Lisa Mason showed up to wow us with her backflips. Other notable faces were Bridgette LeBer and Christina Chappetta, pulling off cute look-backs, no-handers, and attemping whips, flips and rotations. All photos by Brad Davies of Hourglass Photography. More photos and perhaps some video from Chris Demere coming soon...
