Queen of the MTN

Shine's first annual event, first drawn up by LBC on a napkin.  Discussed and encouraged by a business mentor over a taco dinner in Aptos, CA (more napkins).  What was once meant to be purely a womens gravity mountain bike contest (DH + DJ + FR = killin it on the whole mountain) has evolved into one day of coaching and one day of competition. We may have dreamnt a little big in the beginning, but those dreams are coming true....

**2013 Queen of the MTN is Sept 13-15 @ the Tahoe Fat Tire Festival at Squaw Valley USA

COURSE BUILD:
We wanted a fun course to progress on and we got it! Our custom mini slopestyle course was designed and built by Josh Bender, of Dirt Care Professionals. Josh utilized as much existing local materials to help reduce our build costs. Additionally the reclaimed lumber used to build the bridge, the two ramp jumps, and Oakley Ride-and-Style wallride were kindly provided by the Cox Family who saved them for recycling and also donated the use of their private bike park.
