Pro GRT#2 - Fontana - Robyn Embrey takes the win!!!

When I ask about Fontana, people often tell me "far away" and "not fun." But Someday I will have to decide that for myself... With work, school and all types of personal duties, we only had two riders make it down to Fontana for Pro GRT #2.  But they both took FIRST! Big congrats to our riders Robyn Embrey (pro) and Kirstie Douglass!

Trails I Like: Oat Hill Mine & Cow Canyon

Although they are located in two different states, these trails have two important things in common… They require a big climb to get a big descent, and they are both FAST! I don’t like cross-country trails. I find that I get irritated when I can’t get at least a taste of a free flowing rip of a descent on a trail. Constant pedaling sucks. However, if I know that a consistently ripping DEE-cline in store for me, I will crush myself grinding to the top.

Sugar Showdown @SCMBF

If you haven't heard by now, Kat Sweet is bringing Sugar Showdown to the SC Mountain Bike Festival. Lisa Tharp has put lots of hard work into building a ladies specific area at the Aptos Post Office Jumps and we have tons of coaches rolling into town to teach the many skills clinics. The Voreis crew will even be in town teaching an on trail Enduro class.

Girls, Girls, Girls: Reaper Madness 2013

Looking around the venue at the season's kick-off ProGRT race at Bootleg Canyon, NV the first site that impressed me was how many rad ladies were milling about in their bike attire, working on their bikes, securing their number plates or enthusiastically greeting fellow female racers.
